TERRYLAND
FINAL FOR LADIES A-SIDE
The ladies A-side
have reached the Premier Cup final to be played in Terryland Park, on a date
yet to be decided. They over came old rivals Ashe Rovers in a tough encounter
at Millers lane on Wednesday evening. With a draw and a loss in the two league
encounters, some influential players carrying knocks, Melissa Cullina and Irish
under 19 star Kara Mullins unavailable a big performance was needed.
Bohs started well
and came close early on with attempts from Grainne Barrett and Deirdre Connell.
It was however the in form Aoife Burke that opened the scoring when she
finished off a well worked move down the right hand side and struck home from
close range. That settled any nerves and it was Burke that got her second
before half time.
Bohs were dominating
most of the exchanges with Heather Duffy and Theresa Fahy getting through a lot
of work and Annette Clarke and Tara Gavin sniffing out any attack from Ashes
danger player Suzie Cunningham.
Ashe got into it in
the second half and kept Melissa Casserly in the Bohs goal busy.
However half way
through the second half the unstoppable Aoife Burke got her hat-trick and Una
Carlton capped a fine performance all round when she came off the bench for the
injured Deirdre Connell to score the forth.

OF THE FINAL.
